Circusflamingo

Are you looking for that bird, with feathers so beautiful that no one could see it with the naked eye? Then it is true that you have ended up here. Circusflamingo was my 'first child', a cheerful project that I enjoyed working on for years. She was colorful, playful, visually minded and you could come to her for kaleidoscope glasses, burning man goggles, catsuits and other festival accessories.

After endless amounts of partying and decorating, it was time to say goodbye and let her go. And although she (read: her website) is no longer physically present, I will of course never let her disappear completely from the face of the earth. The most beautiful and best-selling pearls have been moved along and can be found among all kinds of other fun knick-knacks . ♡

Once upon a time..

.. A bird, with feathers so beautiful that hardly anyone could see it with the naked eye. Her feathers were long and full, and each fascinating in itself due to the different shades of pink. She had beautiful, big eyes and endlessly long legs, a bit thin she thought to herself, though. Although there were more of her beautiful pink kinds, she was the only one who felt a strong connection to the human race. Time and time again she fell in love when she saw such a human person, made so fascinating and artful. But the bird had one problem, because soon she understood that she was invisible to the human race. With this in mind, the bird, with feathers so beautiful that hardly anyone could see it with the naked eye, went in search of a solution. Because if they couldn't see her, what else were wonderful things that passed those human beings?

After hours, days, even months of tinkering, trying, tasting, testing, making mistakes, getting advice, seeking help, falling, jumping, getting up and moving on, she had succeeded. The result was a lens that made it possible for the human race to perceive all the wonderful things, oh it was truly magical. Because the bird, with feathers so beautiful that hardly anyone could see it with the naked eye, was also a good master of the Greek language, she called her lens the kaleidoscope:

καλός (kalos) "beautiful"
είδος (eidos), "form, stature"
σκοπέω (skopeο) "look".

Yet the bird, with feathers so beautiful that hardly anyone could see it with the naked eye, was still not completely satisfied. In fact, she felt a little lonely and sad among all her beautiful kaleidoscopes and other inventions. After all, no one ever came to visit her anyway. And so there was only one thing left to do: looking for a way to share her new invention with the human race. Since the human race liked to order their stuff on something like 'the internet', she decided to open a small 'internet shop'. And because the bird, with feathers so beautiful that hardly anyone could see it with the naked eye, has been quietly packing all her orders with a lot of love and euphoria since then, you will unfortunately not encounter her in the wild. If you do have your kaleidoscope glasses on, enjoy all the beauty around you, and who knows, you might run into her again, with feathers long and full.
